About Jean Klotz, CELA

  

Jean has lived in El Dorado County for over 50 years. She graduated from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, where she was editor on the Pacific Law Journal. She has practiced in the Placerville area for 46 years. Her practice emphasizes elder law, estate planning and planning for incapacity, including protection of assets when public benefits are needed. She also advises clients who need assistance with issues relating to mining law. She is active in the Shakespeare Club and the El Dorado Mineral & Gem Society. 


Jean has been a certified elder lawyer certified by the National Elder Law Foundation for 16 years. Publications of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) often recommend the services of a certified elder law attorney. There are currently about 500 lawyers certified by the National Elder Law Foundation in the nation and Jean is the only one in El Dorado County and the surrounding area.
